What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save on the device of the person visiting them, in order to remember information from one page to the next or from one visit to the next. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, work in the same way and are subject to the same rules.

In short

The site uses one optional tool only: Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are read and which buttons are used. It starts only if you press "Accept" in the banner shown on your first visit. If you press "Reject" or close the banner with the X, nothing is loaded and your browser contacts no Google server.

You can change your mind at any time via the Cookie preferences link, also found at the bottom of every page.

How we set up Google Analytics

no Google script is downloaded before you make your choice, in line with the Garante's Guidelines of 10 June 2021;
Google Signals, advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off: the data is not used to profile you or to show you ads;
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store the IP addresses of visitors from the European Union;
statistics are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically;
we only measure actions that help us improve the site: pages viewed, use of the calculator, clicks on the contact buttons (WhatsApp, phone, email), on the booking system, and sending the stay request. What you type into forms is never sent to Google.

The provider is Google Ireland Ltd. Data may also be processed in the United States by Google LLC, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework recognised as adequate by the European Commission. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

When you leave the site

Some buttons lead to outside services: WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Maps, Airbnb, Substack, the Trattoria da Me website and our direct booking system at doma.kross.travel. None of these services is loaded inside our pages: they only come into play if you open them, and from that moment their own cookie policies apply, which you will find on their sites.

The rental income calculator

The calculator runs its calculations directly in the browser. Your choices are saved neither on your device nor on our systems. If you have accepted statistics, we only record that the calculator was used, not the values you entered.

Fonts and other resources

Typefaces and all images are hosted on our own servers: without your consent, opening a page makes your browser contact no third-party domain.
